When did you first start at Second Home?
We first came to Second Home in the middle of 2021. At that time there were three of us in the company. We’re now 60 of us, and we’re expanding further. We’ll probably have 100 people in the coming months. This is the second time set up a business in second home – I did it before and we grew quite significantly.
We ended up having almost two floors here and then it was time to move on. I left that business to set up what is now Field. It was a obvious choice as a place to go back to for sort of launching launching my second business.
Why did you come back to Second Home to build your second business?
There’s there’s a number of reasons. I think it’s a very unique space and definitely in terms of co-working spaces, there are there are quite a few now in London. I think in terms of Second Home, the space itself, the design is very unique and I think that is a real draw for when when you’re starting a new business and you’re hiring people.
So how has being second home facilitated the growth of your business? Do you think it has? And if so, how?
I think it’s it’s really flexible here. So, you know, we started out with three people. There’s an office that fits that. And then as soon as we were hiring and making moves beyond that, it’s very easy to move into a space that serves you.
It’s been very flexible for accommodating our growth plans, and I think that’s the sort of key part of it.
What do you like about being a member and part of the community at Second Home?
I feel like the place very much resonates with the culture that we have in the company – it’s a cool place to come to. The actual surroundings that you have here are very unique and actually very attractive for when you’re moving in. But there’s also this vibe of attracting new people into your business. I think other places can feel quite corporate, quite stale, whereas here it’s very unique and there’s something in the atmosphere.
