Your responsibilities will include preparing breakfast and coffee beverages for customers, taking orders, working with cash and card transactions at the till, serving guests, cleaning tables and generally keeping the cafe clean and tidy, keeping hygiene standards to a maximum level on site & ensuring all company standards are adhered to, assisting management with any other essential duties for the best operation of the business.
To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience in hospitality, where you have undertaken barista and food preparation services. Excellent understanding of English both written and spoken is required.

Reporting to the Cafe Manager, you are the face of the café, providing a vibrant, comprehensive and confident barista service, engaging with guests and members, and providing additional support in the kitchen, making and preparing basic food orders.
Your typical duties will include:
Serving customers drinks and food in a creative and enthusiastic manner
To ensure all displays, counters and café seating is clean, tidy and hygienic
To assist in the preparation of food orders when required
To promote excellent standards of safety and cleanliness
To update menu boards
To follow setting up and closing down procedures, including washing up
To develop and maintain high levels of customer engagement and customer service levels
To create and maintain a friendly, vibrant and supportive atmosphere in the café
To adhere to cashing up procedures and monetary handling processes
To work closely with other team members to ensure high levels of customer experience
Undertake relevant training
Any other duty deemed relevant to the role and as requested by your line manager
The Ideal Candidate
Experience in working in a catering environment undertaking barista services
Experience of making basic food items such as sandwiches and salad
Strong and proven experience of providing first class customer care
Good organisational and multitasking skills
Experienced at maintaining excellent hygiene and cleanliness in the working environment
Barista and/or Food hygiene certificate is desirable
Confident, friendly, polite and professional with excellent customer service skills
High personal integrity, honesty, good timekeeping, interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure, whilst remaining patient and calm when dealing with customers and colleagues
A can-do positive attitude
High level of self-motivation, with the ability to take initiative; a self- starter
A flexible approach in terms of work, changes and participation
Ability to work well on your own and in teams
A pleasant and adaptable personality , keen to learn, develop and grow with the
An eye for detail, attentive and diligent
Passion and enthusiasm for good food and drink
Natural communicator, willing to develop person relationship with members
Have an interest in sustainability: sourcing quality and seasonal ingredients, limiting environmental impact, developing processes that keep waste to a minimum and finding new and interesting ways to deal with food waste and reduce packaging
Training and Development
Full training with our coffee bean supplier will be put in place when you join
If required, Level 2 / 3 Food hygiene training will be provided
