Make Design Matter: Pavillions for Okana

Meet Laura Katharina & Ellen Rouwendal – the architects behind the inspiring Pavillions for Okana project which has been nominated for the 2018 DEZEEN awards.

Okana centre of change is a public pavilion in Kenya, offering ICT facilities, a library, office space for NGO Sustainable Rural Initiatives, a tailoring workshop, a cafeteria & bakery. The design also includes a beautiful space underneath a big Acacia tree where the local community can gather, learn, discuss and celebrate.
