Miranda July in conversation with Michelle Tea

Filmmaker, writer, and artist Miranda July will join author Michelle Tea in a conversation celebrating the weird and wonderful world of words.

This event is a collaboration between Second Home and our members, 826LA. The nonprofit organization is dedicated to supporting students ages 6 to 18 with their creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write.

This event is free and open to the public but donations are welcome.

Here are some suggestions of how your donation would be used:

• $50 provides training for 10 hours of volunteer work.
• $100 supports one high school student for one semester in the Writers' Room.
• $250 provides pencils, notebooks, and workshop materials for 100 students.
• $500 gives 4 students one-on-one support as they apply to college. This is a VIP ticket and you will be invited to a special reception at 6 pm to meet the authors. You are also entitled to premier seating at the performance.
