Hear author and founder of the Liology Institute Jeremy Lent in conversation with Patternity's Anna Murray.

The two will discuss the ideas outlined in Jeremy's recently released book – The Patterning Instinct, which tells the story of how different cultures have made sense of the universe and how their underlying values have changed the course of history.

With a shared belief in the meaning of patterns at all levels, they will draw out what we can learn from patterns of behaviour and culture, and how the same underlying patterns of Western thought that gave us the benefits of science are also driving us to possible catastrophe.

Jeremy Lent is an author whose writings investigate the patterns of thought that have led our civilisation to its current crisis of sustainability.

He is the founder of the nonprofit Liology Institute, dedicated to fostering an integrated worldview, both scientifically rigorous and intrinsically meaningful, that could enable humanity to thrive sustainably on the earth.

Anna Murray is an art director, photographer and co-founder of cult pattern organisation PATTERNITY.
