Despite the digital age, zine culture lives on. Social media has provided an opportune platform, where independent makers can share and niche groups can discover. Mia Maxwell, Femzine founder hosts a panel of key zine radicals, followed by a zine workshop. What's going on in the zine scene and what's the driving force for creativity?

Join the discussion as the panel goes in to why artists, journalists and photographers have taken to DIY publishing and what we are still looking for from the creative industries and the DIY community. Speakers include Hamja Ahsan, author of Shy Radicals: The Antisystemic Politics of the Militant Introvert, Lu Williams, founder of Grrrl Zine Fair and Zoe Thompson, founder of Sweet Thang Zine.

After the panel discussion, create your own via a zine workshop run by Mia Maxwell. Built on principles of collage, and largely influenced by the invention of the photocopier, what does it take to make a zine today?
