The Gritterman with Orlando Weeks

Join us for a festive evening of readings, music and mince pies with the Maccabees' Orlando Weeks.

We're celebrating the release of Orlando's stunning illustrated book The Gritterman – a story about stoicism, dignity and a man leaving behind the work that he loves.

… As the rest of the world sleeps, the Gritterman goes out to work. Through the wind and the snow. Through the blue-black hours when time slips away, he grits the paths and the pavements and the roads. For him, a life without gritting is no life at all…

Tickets are free for members and £3 for non-members.

All proceeds from our cultural programme at Holland Park will be donated to The Rugby Portobello Trust who support programmes set up in response to the fire at Grenfell Tower.
