The Myths of Gender Balance

Co-founders of Leading Together, Joana Freitas and Catarina Soares, bring the latest research from McKinsey & Company and INSEAD. They'll be debunking common misconceptions and share the business practices that are more conducive to balanced representation in leadership.

Joana Freitas is an executive in infrastructure operations and finance, having worked in the airport, real estate and energy sectors, after starting her career as a McKinsey consultant, where she worked for seven years in London, Rio and Lisbon. She obtained a MSc in Economics from Porto’s Economics ‘00 University and her MBA ‘03 from INSEAD.

Catarina Soares is the President of INSEAD, Women in Business Club Portugal and a member of the INSEAD Portugal Alumni Association Board. Catarina holds an Economics degree from NOVA SBE, an MBA from INSEAD and the INSEAD Gender Diversity Programme (first cohort).
