Biophilia before lunchtime…

Embark on a special horticultural journey through London's own hidden tropical oasis, exploring the plants and story of the Barbican Conservatory, led by Marta Lowsewicz (Craftsperson Gardener at Barbican Conservatory).

In 2007 Marta finished Agricultural University in Krakow (Poland), where she studied with the Department of Horticulture. Immediately after University she went on to run an exotic plant section in the local Garden Centre and her first job in the UK was creating bespoke window boxes for private customers. After a year there, she moved to London’s second biggest Conservatory at the Barbican, a tropical oasis where she has remained for five years.

Meeting point at Barbican. Limited spaces available for Second Home members, please reserve a space.
