How do organisations move from diversity and inclusion buzzwords to creating conditions that foster genuine change? How do we collectively dismantle oppressive structures in order to build a new world with social justice as its foundation.

Join Oona King, VP of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Snap Inc. in conversation with Katie Lloyd, Development Director for BBC News & Current Affairs, as they discuss her approach to reform and transformative change.

Oona King has built a legacy of radical change across policy, law and business. The second woman of colour elected to the British Parliament, Oona is a member of the House of Lords, and former Senior Policy Advisor at 10 Downing Street. Following a groundbreaking political career, since 2019 Oona has been guiding diversity and inclusion strategies at Channel 4, YouTube, Google and most recently Snap Inc.

This event is part of a new series presented by Second Home and Berggruen Institute – public events that bring together the most inspiring and celebrated figures of our time to exchange and discuss groundbreaking cultural, social and political ideas.
