Step into the new year with intention and creativity through the ancient art of Japanese calligraphy. In this special 60-minute mindfulness session, we will explore kakizome (書き初め), the Japanese tradition of writing your first calligraphy of the year to set meaningful intentions and align your focus for the months ahead. Guided by the 2,000-year-old principles of shodō (書道), this session blends mindfulness with artistic expression, helping you embrace “無心 mushin”, a state of flow and presence. Together, we will create calligraphy pieces that reflect our guiding words for the year, grounding us in the transformative power of intentional living.
