Mohsin’s Kitchen

Second Home is proud to host Mohsin for a special three-course supper club in collaboration with the Lisbon Project, an organisation that exists to empower migrants and refugees.

It’s a chance to enjoy lovingly cooked Iraqi specialities and hear the personal story of Moisin and the incredible work that the Lisbon Project facilitates.

All money raised will go towards Lisbon project community initiatives, supporting education, employment, bureaucratic and logistical support, community and social care for migrants and refugees arriving and living in Portugal.

A bit about Mohsin:

Mohsin is a refugee from northern Iraq. Having fled war at age 16 to find safety and freedom, he crossed borders, faced prison, and a life threatening boat trip. In Greece, he was selected to come to Portugal through a relocation program. Through the Lisbon Project, Moshin learnt both English and Portuguese, found employment and community. Today he lives autonomously in Lisbon, working as an in demand chef.
