Join us for a screening of Zenia Selby's short film 'Painting Freedom' – the story of a group of Yazidi women who escaped ISIS captivity, as they participate in an art workshop run by artist Hannah Rose Thomas.

The paintings that they produce, together with Hannah's own portraits of the women, are exhibited at the Houses of Parliament, and sparked a new DFID project to help Yazidi women. The paintings have also been exhibited at Buckingham Palace, Lambeth Palace, Scottish Parliament and European Parliament.

This film and the paintings showcase how art can be a powerful tool for activism and advocacy. There will be a Q&A with the director, Zenia Selby after the screening.
