As passionate anglers and concerned residents of our home planet, we view hatcheries and fish farms as part of a disturbing trend: the wilful ignorance of scientific fact for political expediency.
Join us for the screening of Patagonia's documentary Artifishal – a film about people, rivers, and the fight for the future of wild fish and the environment that supports them.
Artifishal explores wild salmon’s slide toward extinction, and the role of fish hatcheries and fish farms in this complex but failing system. It’s about us as people, our food source and the fight for the future of wild fish and our environment.
All proceeds will go towards supporting the North Atlantic Salmon Fund – non-profit dedicated to the conservation of North Atlantic salmon and marine biodiversity.
NASF has two primary programs through which it carries out its marine conservation efforts: the Aquaculture Program fights open net pen salmon farming, a dirty and environmentally devastating form of aquaculture, and the Orri Fund, which supports environmental conservation deals in the North Atlantic.
