Dee Caffari is the first woman to sail single-handedly around the world in both directions, and the only woman to sail non-stop around the world three times.
Hear Dee draw on the many challenges she has faced in competitive, risky and often tough environments.
A former teacher, Dee Caffari sailed into the world record book when she became the first and only woman to travel the world solo and ‘the wrong way’ against the prevailing winds and currents in 2006.
She was also the only female skipper to lead an international youth team with a 50/50 male-female split in a highly competitive race – spreading messages around gender inclusivity, sustainability and inspiring the next generation.
Dee joins us as part of our events programme in partnership with the British Embassy Lisbon.
