Shoulder to Shoulder: Chapter Two – Second Home’s big annual member’s day and night festival.

This year we partnered with SXWKS – an East London collective that brings together black creative minds across all artistic disciplines. They champion curiosity, collaboration and experimentation.

To mark Black History Month, SXWKS took over Second Home Spitalfields, Libreria and Second Home London Fields, embracing all the different subcultures within blackness across the programme to deliver a festival overflowing with an abundance of creativity, community and play.

Night Time Party

Second Home London Fields – 7pm till late

In collaboration with creative collective SXWKS we put together a line up of DJs that got us sweaty, sexy and down.

Sets from: DJ Peart, yeahitsrenee, Rare Treat, Denisha Anderson & ChloeKnows

Sponsored by: Mirchi, Redchurch Brewery, Something & Nothing, Caribbean Kitchen

Beers, Beats & Browse

We got together for an after work beer at Second Home’s bookshop Libreria to explore and reflect on the weirdness of existence in our library of Babel.

We had some explosive performances from Russenï Fisher and Jolade Olusanya.

DJ Joe Kinwu provided atmospheric sounds from an experimental lens, melding the worlds of hip hop, ambient music, soul and Jazz.

Sponsored by Forest Road Brewery.
