From walking into a local gallery to browsing the aisles of Frieze, the art world can be intimidating—but it doesn't have to be. Now, with the advent of the internet and online resources, starting an art collection is easier than ever. In celebration of the opening of Frieze in London (and with Frieze LA in its first year,) Second Home and global art marketplace Artsy present a discussion on how to start collecting art with a focus on the vibrant art capitals of London and Los Angeles. Chloe Newcombe, Collector Relations Associate at Artsy will be facilitating the conversation alongside the following panelists:

Marcelle Joseph, independent curator and collector and founder of Marcelle Joseph Projects.
Natasha Arselan, founder of AucArt
Jamie Manné, Director of Kayne Griffin Corcoran Gallery (LA)

The conversation will delve into the vast array of digital tools and resources available, raise important considerations and questions for new buyers, and provide a window into the London and Los Angeles art scenes.

Whether you’re attending the event or browsing online, begin your collecting journey with this featured selection of available works, curated by Artsy Specialists exclusively for Second Home.
