Paul Hill is an elected fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, co-presenter and writer of Awesome Astronomy podcast, and Space Ambassador for ESERO.
In this talk Paul will explain how the tides on Earth and the movement of the Moon are intrinsically connected through tidal locking.
He'll reveal why the dark side of the Moon wasn't seen until 1959 and explore questions around how the moon has influenced human evolution and culture, and whether life on Earth could survive without it.
Tickets are free for members and £3 non-members.
All proceeds from our cultural programme go to the Kibera Hamlets school in Nairobi, where Second Home has funded the construction of a new school building designed by our architects Selgas Cano.
