TAPARI presents: Maghe Sankranti Festival Supper Club

TAPARI is a Nepali supper club organised by sisters of the diaspora Anna Pachyu and Swapnil Gurung.

They’re celebrating Maghe Sankranti with Libreria, a Nepali harvest festival that marks the end of the winter solstice and welcomes in the new year of longer and warmer days to come.

All the recipes made in Nepal during the period of the festival focus on healthy eating, with seasonal food that warms the body during the winter, provides nourishment for the soul and helps to purify the body and boost immunity.

Come and say goodbye to the gloomy dark winter days with TAPARI and celebrate this auspicious Nepali festival with a decadent 3-course menu steeped in tradition, spice and flavour.

Whilst enjoying the meal in our cosy bookshop over candlelight, Swapnil and Anna will share stories about the origins of these recipes and tell us how they use food to stay connected to their family roots and native homeland.
