As our phones track our every move, we pretty much always know where we are. But paradoxically, there are more mazes being built today than ever before! It seems that we still feel the need to step outside our comfort zone and get lost.
Creative Editor of Penguin Classics, writer and maze enthusiast Henry Eliot has delved deep into the world of real, historical and fictional mazes in his new book Follow This Thread: A Maze Book to Get Lost In, looking at their uses in literature, art and film.
Join him in Second Home’s labyrinthine bookshop, LIbreria, for an evening of lively discussion about our relationship with mazes, the psychology involved in walking them and how getting lost can spark creativity and new beginnings.
Tickets are free for members and £4 for non-members.
You can also pre purchase a copy of the book (from our bookshop Libreria) with your ticket which will be ready for you on the night.
