Whether you're popping in for the day or moving in for good - here’s everything you need to know about our coworking and office spaces in London and Lisbon.

General

Where are your London coworking spaces located & what are the opening hours?

Our London Coworking Spaces in Spitalfields and Holland Park are listed on our website along with maps and transport links. Staffed reception hours are 8am – 6pm but some of our spaces may include 24/7 entry. 

Where is Second Home Lisbon located?

You’ll find us inside Mercado da Ribeira, one of Lisbon’s most iconic destinations. Steps from Cais do Sodré, it’s perfectly placed for easy access, food, and culture. Our opening hours are 8am to 10pm, Monday to Friday, and 9am to 6pm on Bank Holidays, except on Christmas and New Year’s Day, where we are closed. 

As a Second Home member, can I bring guests with me?

Yes! Guest policies are based on your membership type. Please see further details in the membership-specific FAQs below.

Is there parking, bike storage, or other amenities available?

London:
Whilst parking is not available at our London locations, all our spaces have bike storage, lockers, showers, phone booths, kitchen stations, and our in-house café, La Despensa. Please note that bike storage and lockers are available to members only. 

Lisbon:
Whilst parking and bike storage are not available at our Lisbon location, there are plenty of transportation options within walking distance. Our space has lockers, showers, phone booths and our in-house café, La Despensa.

What’s included with Second Home membership?

All plans – Resident, Roaming and Office membership – include utilities, high‑speed Wi‑Fi, Second Home app access, guest access, printing credits, meeting‑room credits, and access to our Community and cultural programmes.

Can I work from other locations?

Our Private Offices in East and West London, and our Resident coworking memberships in London and Lisbon each include five global access passes per month, which can be used at any of our locations worldwide.

Are you child-friendly?

For health and safety reasons, we are unable to allow under-18s into our spaces. We may be able to authorise access under exceptional circumstances but this is at the space manager’s discretion.

Are you dog-friendly?

London:
Yes, we love dogs, but please ensure they are well-trained and always kept on a lead, unless you are in a Private Office or meeting room. Please note – pet access is reserved for our full-time members only.

Lisbon:
Due to the Time Out Market restrictions – where we are located – we are unable to allow dogs into our space. Service dogs are allowed with specific access restrictions. Please speak to our membership team for more information.

Can I book a trial day?

London: 
Yes, dependent on availability. Please speak to our membership team to book.

Lisbon:
Please speak to our membership team about availability.

Can I tour the space before joining?

Yes – you can book a tour to see our coworking and office spaces in person across East London, West London and Lisbon.

Private Offices

What’s the minimum contract length?

We have flexible terms available; view our private offices in London, book a tour or speak to our Memberships team for site-specific options.

What size offices do you offer?

Spitalfields:
At our coworking space in Spitalfields, we offer private offices for teams from 4-50.

Holland Park:
At our West London coworking space, we offer private office for teams for 2-5.

Lisbon:
Our Lisbon office space is coming soon. In the meantime, we have group desk options available in our Resident Desk space. Contact our membership team for more information. 

Can I design or customise my Second Home office space?

Yes. We’ll work with you to tailor the layout, branding, and setup – whether you’re a team of 4 or 40.

What’s included in a Private Office with Second Home?

Everything: business rates, utilities, furniture, Wi-Fi, meeting rooms credits, cleaning, coffee, tea, access to all shared spaces and access to all of our events programmes.

As a Private Office member, can I bring guests?

Yes. You can bring two guests daily, with access to our roaming and shared spaces.

Resident Desks

What’s the difference between Resident and Roaming membership in London?

Resident Membership includes your own dedicated desk, 24/7 access at select locations, meeting room credits, and the option to host guests twice daily.

Roaming Membership offers unlimited hot desking across our workspaces in East and West London, guest access once per week, but doesn’t include meeting room credits.

What’s the difference between Resident and Roaming membership in Lisbon?

Resident Membership includes your own dedicated desk, and the option to host a guest daily.

Roaming Membership offers unlimited hot desking across our workspace, and the option to host a guest daily.

Can I choose my Resident Desk?

We offer dedicated desk spaces in East and West London, in both our Spitalfields, Holland Park and Lisbon workspaces.

Spitalfields:
You have a variety of desk placements to choose from, with standard and premium options available.

Our Standard Resident Membership includes your own dedicated desk, 24/7 access at select locations, meeting room credits, and the option to host guests.

Our Premium Resident Membership is available at select locations and includes all the benefits of our Standard Resident Membership, plus extra perks – from premium desk areas with private terraces to monthly Huddle Room credits and more.

Lisbon: 
Our Resident Desk space offers a variety of desk placements to choose from. 

As a Resident Member, can I bring guests?

London:
Yes. You can bring two guests daily, with access to our roaming and shared spaces. The same guest can come up to five times per month.

Lisbon:
Yes. You can bring one guest daily, with access to our Lounge. The same guest can come up to five times per month, and there is a limit of 5 guests per day.

Is Resident Membership available in London and Lisbon?

Yes. Choose a permanent coworking desk in Lisbon, East London (Spitalfields), or West London (Holland Park).

What’s the minimum commitment for Resident Membership?

Resident desks are available with an initial 3-month term, but you’ll get better rates on longer commitments.

Do I have to pay extra for meeting rooms with Resident Membership?

London:
Resident members get a fixed amount of free meeting room credits each month – top-ups are available too.

Lisbon:
Meeting room credits aren’t included in our Resident Membership, but you can book them at our member rates.

Roaming Membership

How can I sign up for Roaming Membership?

You can purchase Roaming Membership directly from our website or speak to one of our membership teams in London and Lisbon for further information. 

 

What’s the minimum commitment for Roaming membership?

Roaming memberships are available with an initial 1-month term, but you’ll get better rates on longer commitments.

Are meeting rooms included with Roaming Membership?

Meeting room credits aren’t included in our Roaming Membership, but you can book them at our member rates.

Can I switch between Roaming and other coworking memberships?

Yes – please contact our membership teams in London and Lisbon to find out more.

As a Roaming Member, can I bring guests with me?

London:
Yes. You can bring one guest per week, who can have access to our roaming and shared spaces.

Lisbon:
Yes. You can bring one guest daily, with access to our Lounge. The same guest can come up to five times per month, and there is a limit of 5 guests per day.

Day Pass

Do I need to be a member to use a Day Pass?

How do I book a Coworking Day Pass at Second Home?

Single-day passes and Day Pass bundles can be purchased and booked via our website. For Office Day Passes in London, please reach out to our Membership team.

 

What do I get with a Coworking Day Pass?

Can I use my Day Pass at any location?

Day Passes and bundles are location-specific, so you’ll need to book these for the particular Second Home space you’d like to work from. Find out more about coworking day passes in London or Lisbon, or book one now via our online portal.

How long is my Day Pass valid for?

Coworking Day Pass Bundles (3/5/10-day) in London or (3/5/7-day) Lisbon, are valid for 3 months from purchase.

Can I access the spaces on a Day Pass without booking?

Booking is recommended; on-the-day availability depends on capacity.

Do I need to book my Day Pass in advance?

We recommend it – especially during busier times – but you can drop in if there’s space.

Can I book a Day Pass at the weekend?

London:
Day Pass access is restricted to Monday – Friday, between 9am and 6pm.

Lisbon:
Day Pass access is restricted to Monday – Friday, between 8am and 10pm.

Can I bring a guest with me, with a Day Pass?

If you’d like to bring a guest with you, they will also need to book a Day Pass. Alternatively, you can book a meeting room, in London or Lisbon, and bring a number of guests, depending on the room’s capacity.

With a Day Pass, can I bring a dog with me?

London:
Access for dogs is only available for our full-time members.

Lisbon:
Access for dogs is not available in our space.

Can I access bike storage on a day pass?

London:
Unfortunately, we only have available bike storage for our full-time members.

Lisbon:
Unfortunately, we do not have bike storage available at Second Home Mercado.

Can I buy multiple Day Passes?

Yes — save with Day Pass Bundles (3, 5 or 10-day packs, valid for 3 months) in our London and Lisbon coworking spaces.

Office Day Pass

What is an Office Day Pass?

This provides access to one of our Private Offices for the day in Spitalfields and Holland Park

How much is an Office Day Pass?

Office Day Pass rates are charged from £50pp, with a minimum booking of four people. The range of studios is dependent on availability across East and West London.

Meeting Rooms

Can I book Meeting Rooms if I am not a Member?

Yes, our meeting rooms in London and Lisbon are available for external guest bookings.

How do I book a Meeting Room?

You can book meeting rooms directly through via our online portal for Spitalfields, Holland Park and Lisbon

What’s included with a private meeting room booking?

HD screens, whiteboards, fast Wi-Fi, breakout access and catering on request.

What’s the capacity range of your Meeting Rooms?

London:
We offer a range of spaces, from small rooms (4‑8 people) up to large boardrooms (up to 10-15) in East and West London

Lisbon:
Most of our Meeting Rooms fit up to 10 people, while our largest meeting rooms fit 12 people in Lisbon

What’s the cancellation policy for Meeting Rooms?

London:
We have a minimum cancellation period of 24 hours.

Lisbon:
We have a minimum cancellation period of 7 days for non-members, 24 hours for members.

Venue Hire

How do I book Private Hire with Second Home?

What facilities are included with Private Hire?

London:
Flexible layouts, AV, catering options and support from our internal event team.

Lisbon:
Flexible layouts, support from our internal event team, AV materials, & catering suppliers upon request.

Can I hire spaces for events if I am not a Member?

Yes, all our event spaces are available to hire privately for members and external events. 

Do you provide catering for private hire events?
