Second Home Ltd (“Second Home”) member introduction scheme for the introduction of a new member to a London workspace (“the Scheme”). The following terms and conditions apply to the Scheme:

1. The Scheme is open to all employees of a current member of Second Home in London (“Member Employee”). A current member will be a member of a London workspace who is actively engaged in a roaming, resident, or studio membership by way of a membership contract with Second Home (“Member”).

2. Second Home reserves the right to require proof of employment (including but not limited to a signed employment contract, employment offer letter and written confirmation from a director or senior manager of the Member) of a Member Employee.

3. The Member Employee can introduce a new member by completing the Member Introduction Handout and returning it to your usual point of contact at Second Home. By submitting the Member Introduction Handout, the Member Employee agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.

4. The Member Employee must obtain prior written consent of the proposed member they are introducing to Second Home contacting them, before making the introduction and the Employee Member consents to Second Home referring to them in any communications with the new member.

5. The Member Employee cannot participate in and will not qualify for the Scheme if the Member is in arrears on their Second Home membership fees or any related payments to Second Home.

6. Where a new member is introduced and the requirements within these terms and conditions are met, the following shall be applied:

a) a sum of £1,000 will be payable by way of a voucher to the Member Employee for introducing a new member who enters into a membership contract for studio membership for a period of more than 6 months;

c) a sum of £50 will be payable by way of a voucher to the Member Employee for introducing a new member who enters into a membership contract for roaming membership for a period of more than 6 months.

7. The Member Employee will only be eligible for the voucher under the Scheme as set out at paragraph 6 if:

a) the member introduced is a new member to Second Home, the person or firm introduced cannot have been a member of Second Home (whether a studio member, resident member or roaming member) in the 12 months preceding the introduction;

b) the new member introduced has not previously been recommend or introduced to Second Home in the 12 months preceding the introduction;

c) the new member introduced confirms to Second Home that they were referred by the Member Employee;

d) the new member introduced by the Member Employee pays the required security deposit and first month of membership fees in full and cleared funds upfront; and

e) the new member introduced must be an active member under a continuing membership contract with Second Home for a minimum of two months.

8. Providing the requirements outlined within these terms and conditions are met, Second Home will provide a voucher to the Member Employee within three months of the commencement date of the membership contract between the new member introduced by the Member Employee and Second Home.

9. Please note there is only one reward per new member introduced. If two Member Employee’s introduce the same new member, the reward will be allocated based on the date the Member Introduction Handout is received by Second Home.

10. There is no limit to the number of new members that the Member or the Member Employee can introduce in one calendar year.

11. Second Home accepts no responsibility or liability for any tax or National Insurance charges or any related charges outside of Second Home’s control related to the vouchers issued to the Member Employee as a result of the Scheme. The Member Employee shall be fully responsible for and shall indemnify Second Home for and in respect of any income tax, National Insurance, social security contributions and against all reasonable costs, expenses and any penalty, fine or interest incurred or payable by Second Home in connection with or in consequence of any such liability, deduction, contribution, assessment or claim.

12. Any vouchers issued to the Member Employee will be made net of VAT.

13. If the Member Employee is a senior employee of the Member, the Member Employee may elect by written confirmation at the time of submitting the Member Induction Handout to convert the voucher into credit against the Member’s membership fees. If the Member’s usual monthly recurring invoice is less than £500 in value, the credit may be split across more than one month of the Member’s invoicing.

14. Insofar as is permitted by law, Second Home will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the Member Employee or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the voucher except where it is caused by the negligence of Second Home or that of Second Home’s employees.

15. The Scheme only applies to introductions made on or after 1 April 2023 only.

16. Second Home reserves the right to offer an alternative reward of the same value at any time.
