TAPARI is a Nepali supper club organised by sisters of the diaspora Anna Pachyu and Swapnil Gurung.

Maghe Sankranti is a Nepali harvest festival that marks the end of the winter solstice and welcomes in the new year of longer and warmer days to come.

TAPARI took over Libreria bookshop to celebrate this auspicious Nepali festival with a decadent 3-course menu steeped in tradition, spice and flavour.

All the recipes made in Nepal during the period of the festival focus on healthy eating, with seasonal food that warms the body during the winter, provides nourishment for the soul and helps to purify the body and boost immunity.

Whilst enjoying the meal in our cosy bookshop over candlelight, Swapnil and Anna shared stories about the origins of these recipes and told us how they use food to stay connected to their family roots and native homeland.
